Quick Hit

Let me tell you about the best player in the league: Dwyane Wade. This is what you ask for from your teams superstar, his stat line against the 76ers - 25 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks. That is carrying a team to the next level by doing everything yourself. I cant believe he is this good and in the Finals when he just made the Mavs look like cancer kids, that was just disgusting. Dwyane Wade for MVP, he is taking a 20 win team and getting them in the playoffs.

The Trade Business

My first question is how did the bulls figure out a way to trade Larry Hughes? I guess it makes sense since it involves both the Knicks and Jerome James. Now to the real problem, why did teams missing that extra piece such as the Cavs and Trailblazers and teams goin nowhere, the Clippers and Wizards, not make any deals?
At the very least the Cavs should have gone and traded either Sasha or Darnell Jackson and Terrence Kinsley to Toronto for Joey Graham. He could have upgraded that 2 spot until Delonte comes back and after that he is either competing for starting minutes or is a great sixth man that can play the 2 or 3 for us. We have enough shooters we need this athleticism on the floor. I kinda have a policy that if someone constantly plays well against you, then go and trade for him. We already did this with Mo and Joey hasn't killed us but he plays great against us and dont forget that dunk on LeBron. I haven't been a fan of Sasha since after that one month or so he was good like two years ago and he would honestly fit way better in the Raptors system. No defense, run and shoot, hope it goes in.
Now they still had Wally's huge expiring contract to get rid off and I would like to think that getting another big to play the 4 spot was possible. All they had to do was throw in J.J. Hickson and it would have been a sweet package for someone like Marcus Camby. Now if you are saying, "Wait a minute Hickson is a good developing big for us," my anwser to you is no he is not. His minutes are mostly garabage minutes, the only people he can show off his "dominating low-post moves" to are shooting guards and a few small forwards and he cant box out or play any legit defense. Those spectacular dunks are mostly in the open floor and on smaller players. His stock is high, his ceiling is low that is called trade bait.
Now saying all of that i do believe the Cavs will still stay strong and go deep in to the playoffs, most likely the NBA Finals. But we have some issuses to clean up, like getting another bench player to replace Wally, getting a shooting guard because honestly Delonte is good but we can definatly upgrade there, and last but not least get rid of Big Ben and his terrible contract and offense and find his replacement and another big man for the rotation cause Hickson is no good and Z needs a replacement eventually. My hope is that we somehow get rid of Ben Wallace and sign Paul Milsap to a contract that isn't ludicrous. He's a banger and a low-post guy, what we really need. If not him then maybe work out a trade for Jason Maxiell who is rotting on Detroit's bench and always plays well, like a poor man's Milsap.
Finally i have to nominate Cleveland for the Ugliest Team Award. I mean they are in the running with Big Ben, Z who defines tall and goofy, Andy and his ridiculous hair, and last but not least Delonte the Kebler Elf West and his constant lip bruise. The only way we'd lose is because Boobie is so pretty.
