Problem City

I have a bit of a problem with Rondo's triple double against the Cavs last night. No it's not that me Cavs have no way of stopping him, it's that 5 of his 18 rebounds were off blocked shots. Now maybe it's just me but a blocked shot is a blocked shot, meaning the shot attempt is now canceled and it's a loose ball. So I will go ahead and suggest a new stat for the NBA; picked up loose ball. When someone causes a steal but cant come up with the ball or after someone tips out a rebound. The person who causes the loose ball gets the steal/rebound/block and the person who collects the loose ball gets what we'll call a pickup. That way we can give hustle players who are often underrated another stat to make them look good and have a way of seeing who has good basketball IQ or is just in the right place at the right time. Anyways Rondo's final stat line: 29 points 13 assists 13 rebounds and at least 5 pickups. Also why couldn't Rajon have become a Cav instead of signing that extension?
